All meetings will take place at Mohonk- 66 Weston Rd. Westport, CT. , the Westport Library, or at another designated site in Westport or Fairfield. Educational and Recreational programs often include trips to different locations as described below.

WEEKLY SUPPORT & COUNSELING MEETINGS

These are six-week programs. The first meeting is free, and the remainder are $100 if you choose to continue. These meetings enable parents or adolescents to share their experiences about what has helped and what has not in their personal and/or family relationships. It is led by highly qualified professionals, including psychologists, or psychiatrists. Participants are free to share or just listen. All meetings begin at 7:30 PM, and last two hours. There is a limit of eight individuals per meeting

  • Adolescent Support Group– Mondays starting Dec. 9
  • Parent Support Group- Autism Tuesdays starting Dec. 11
  • Parent Support Group-ADHD Wednesdays starting Dec 13
EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS

We still have openings for our last two winter educational programs which will be held at Mohonk.

  • How Your Brain Works with Your Best Interests in Mind- Usually

This includes a visit to Yale Univ. and their Child Study Center. These  meetings start on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 7 PM.

  • Social Media: Enlightenment and/or Brain Washing in the Same Breath.

This includes visits by noted reporters and social psychologists and starts on Wednesday, January 22 at 7 PM

RECREATONAL MEETINGS
  • Nature and Conservation Programs -Winter, 2024

The Nature and Conservation programs will meet at Mohonk and from there travel to different locations. This can be as local as the coastline of Westport or the Lucius Pond Ordway-Devil’s Den Preserve in Weston, Connecticut, snow or no snow. One program will include a day long visit to Mohonk’s 185 nature preserve in Mt. Washington Massachusetts (Not New Hampshire). There is no cost for these trips although a donation is highly recommended.

  • Ski trips We have plans for two trips with ski instructors

The dates will be determined by those who sign up. The cost is based on twenty percent reduced charges of the lift tickets. Instruction is free. If an overnight trip is preferred by at least 5 skiers, we will stay at a local motel where cost will be shared by those who sign up.
